Victoria, BC– The Capital Regional District (CRD) Arts Commission has approved funding for 25 local not-for-profit arts organizations through the Arts & Culture Support Service Project Grant program. A total of $114,000 will fund multiple arts events in 2019 such as annual festivals, special performances and themed exhibits.
“Arts organizations and arts audiences rely on public sector grants to fund events that enrich our lives and connect us across jurisdictional boundaries,” says Jeremy Loveday, CRD Arts Commission Chair. Organizations funded through last year’s Project Grant program produced 280 arts and culture events with nearly 50,000 attendees. An overview of the funded projects is attached.
There are two Project Grant intakes each year; the next application deadline is May 9, 2019. The Project Grant program is one of five CRD arts and culture funding programs.
