Proposed Kemp Lake Foreshore Access Improvement Plan

Juan de Fuca Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and JdF Local Area Planning, is proposing to enhance facilities at Kemp Lake off the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Milligan Road foreshore access. This area is a popular site for non-motorized boat launch, fishing and swimming. The proposed plan would provide a dock for boat launches, fishing and swimming as well as improve parking, picnic and washroom facilities.

A public participation report, presenting the activities undertaken relating to the public participation process for the Kemp Lake Infrastructure Improvement Proposal and comments received through that process, was presented to the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission at its meeting of April 25, 2017.

Help Steward Our Community Treasures

Community parks and trails are yours to enjoy, and a legacy for future generations. While visiting, please respect the private property next to the parks, trails, viewpoints, and ocean accesses and leave no trace of your visit or the visit of your dog. Leave the treasures that you find, including wildflowers, for others to enjoy.
