An application has been received to rezone three properties from General Industrial (M-2) zone to the Sooke Business Park Industrial (M-SBP) zone in order to add business office and support services, private fitness clubs and licensed medical cannabis production facilities as permitted uses (proposed Bylaw No. 4234).
The Land Use Committee considered the application at their meeting of April 17, 2018 and recommended referral to agencies and the Otter Point Advisory Planning Commission.
The Otter Point Advisory Planning Commission considered the application at its meeting of June 5, 2018.
The LUC considered re-referral of the application to agencies and the Otter Point Advisory Planning Commission at its meeting of December 17, 2018.
Otter Point Advisory Planning Commission considered the application at its meeting of January 22, 2019.
The LUC recommended that Bylaw No. 4234 be given first and second reading and direction to proceed to public hearing at its meeting of March 19, 2019.
The CRD Board gave Bylaw No. 4234 first and second reading and direction that the bylaw proceed to public hearing at its April 10, 2019 meeting.
