Victoria, BC– The Capital Regional District’s (CRD) Arts Commission is announcing the launch of the Arts Service Equity and Incubator Grant programs. The new grant programs are intended to provide access to arts funding to a broader range of non-profit organizations.
- Equity Grants are to support arts initiatives by applicants from communities at risk of exclusion or have difficulty accessing support for systemic reasons.
- Incubator Grants will help arts organizations with support for short term access to workspace or expertise in areas required to accelerate their development or enhance their sustainability and resiliency.
“The Arts Service is committed to removing barriers to the arts,” said CRD Arts Commission Chair, Colin Plant. ”These new programs are an innovative way to help more people access arts funding and will develop arts initiatives that all residents can enjoy.”
The CRD Arts Development Service supports, promotes and celebrates the arts. The Arts Service is supported by: Saanich, Victoria, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, Highlands, Metchosin, Sidney and Southern Gulf Islands. For further information see www.crd.bc.ca/service/arts-funding.
