Suspended services and reduced public access at Hartland Depot

hartland-delays-signDue to the need for social distancing household hazardous waste (including oil and paint) and renovation waste are not being accepted at the Hartland Public Drop-off Depot at this time and public access to the site has been reduced. High traffic volumes are causing congestion and delays. Priority needs to be given to commercial vehicles. Please store non-putrescible waste (material that doesn’t rot or attract animals) until after the COVID-19 health emergency.

Please stay home if you are sick.

Prioritize - Consider if your trip is essential

  • Use the curbside collection services available to you
  • Store waste from your spring cleaning and home improvement projects for now
  • Keep yard waste in your yard or consider composting at home
  • Give priority to waste that has the risk of attracting pests or going rancid (putrescible waste)

Hartland Depot - What to expect

  • Only two vehicles at a time will have access to the depot
  • Only credit and debit payments will be accepted, no cash
  • No household hazardous waste household hazardous waste (including paint, propane bottles and oils) will be accepted
  • No renovation waste will be accepted
