How do I sign up for e-Billing?

Simply go to www.crd.bc.ca/account and click on "Register your account / Sign up for e-Billing". Create a CRD Profile. Once your profile has been created, you will receive an email asking you to verify your account. You can then log into your new profile, link your account(s) and sign up for e-Billing.

What information do I need to register?

You will need your most recent invoice (dated May 21, 2018 or later) with your new account number. Keep this information handy as you will need the information on this bill to link the account on the website.

I did not receive a verification email when I registered for e-Billing

If you did not receive a verification email when you registered your new account, try the following:

  1. Check your junk folder
  2. Try registering again (you many have entered your email address incorrectly)

What information do I need to link an account?

I am not interested in e-Billing. Can I still receive a paper copy of my bill?

Yes, you can still receive a paper invoice. You will still need to create your new profile and link your new account in order to access your account balance.

I pay through online banking. Do I need to do anything?

Yes! Please update your payee information on your banking website to reflect your new account number. Your new account number starts with a 5.

Can I view my account balance?

Yes, once you link your account using your new account number you can view your account balance. Please note: we have disabled the previous account balance functionality. Your new account number is required to access your account balance.

How do I update my account information?

You can manage your contact information and change your password on the Account Profile page.

Do I still need an account access code?

No. An account access code is no longer required and will no longer be included on your invoice.

I have multiple accounts. Can I receive all my invoices by e-Billing?

Yes. You will need to sign up and link each account online with your new account number. Please note your e-Bill can only be sent to one email address.

I registered for e-Billing. When will I receive my first e-Bill?

Your next invoice will be emailed to the email address provided through e-Billing registration approximately two months from your latest paper invoice.

Can more than one person per property sign up for e-Billing?

Yes. If you are listed on the invoice as one of the account holders on the property you will see your name listed when you link your account. Simply register for e-Billing and enter your email to receive the next invoice via electronic mail.

Once I sign up for e-Billing will I still get a paper bill?

No, once any account holder signs up for e-Billing you will no longer receive a paper bill.
