Description
The pit toilets at Coles Bay Regional Park have reached the end of their serviceable life and construction work to replace the existing facilities will begin in Spring 2024.
This project includes the deconstruction of the existing toilet building and the construction of a new, single stall vault toilet building in the same location. The new building will meet current accessibility standards, will have a longer serviceable life, and a lower maintenance level to it than the current structure.
An environmental impact assessment, monitoring and approvals are in place for this project and measures will be taken to protect park values. Construction work will likely take around two months to complete. Portable toilets will be on site for park visitors during construction.
