The Sooke Region Museum is operated by the Sooke Region Historical Society, a non-profit society incorporated in 1975, and recognized as a Registered Charity by Revenue Canada.
The CRD provides financial support in the form of a contribution (grant) funded by a tax and appoints one commissioner to the society's board.
