What would you like to Recycle?

Mirrors

Mirrors

Older mirrors are glass with a layer of reflecting silver on the back side of the glass. The silver was then coated with a protective layer of paint. Newer mirrors sometimes use aluminum instead, but the process remains the same. Regardless, recycle your old mirror instead of throwing it in the trash.

How do I go green?

Use old mirrors in out of the way spaces, like dark hallways in the basement, potting sheds, garages to brighten up a space.

Have a broken mirror? It’s not bad luck, it’s an opportunity to make art. Mirror shards, handled carefully, are the perfect material for mosaics.
