Car Radiators

Car Radiators
Radiators function as the main part of your vehicle’s cooling system, transferring heat from the engine. Recycle your old radiator at any of the establishments listed below.
When disposing of a used radiator, see Antifreeze for tips about its disposal, to prevent contamination of soil and water.

How do I go green?

Get the most out of your radiator by keeping it topped up with the proper mixture of antifreeze and de-ionized water (not tap water). Drive less, to prolong the life of all components.

Buying used or refurbished is almost always a better bet for the environment, as it prevents the extraction of further resources from the earth.

Contact facilities directly regarding restrictions and charges.

  • The Environmental Story

Radiators must be filled with a mixture of water and antifreeze, which is made of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. Both of these petroleum based products are poisonous and a danger to the environment.
