BC Housing, through the RHFP partnership, has acquired “Charters" (formerly "Throup”), a 1.5 hectare property in the District of Sooke for construction of a 75 unit 4 story building valued at $21 million. The land, located at 2170 Charters Road, is currently owned by BC Housing. This development will offer a mixture of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom affordable units and is located in an established residential neighbourhood within 400 meters of a major public transit route. The Regional Housing Trust Fund Contribution is $330,000.The project is nearing completion and occupancy is planned for Summer 2022.
