CRD Watershed Warden Badge Program (K-7)

Celebrate and reward elementary school-aged kids helping to protect our local watersheds with CRD Watershed Warden Badges.

Use the following resources to help get you started:

Eligible kids are elementary-school aged or younger and live (or their activity takes place) in the capital region.

Individuals: Apply online or mail a letter to Ollie the Otter.
Groups: Submit one application or mail all letters together.

Ollie will send Watershed Warden badges within 3 weeks.

Rainwater and Watershed Education (K-7)

Raise awareness about local rainwater and watersheds in the capital region and empower students to protect our local waterways, ocean and environment with this learning resource.

Download lesson plans and activities and watch videos designed for grades 4-5, with links and adaptations for lower and upper elementary classes.

Educators in the capital region may borrow a DVD copy of the award winning documentary “Lost Rivers” (CatBird Films).
