  • Salt Spring Island Mount Maxwell Community Park Management Plan

    Following a community-led fundraising effort throughout 2022, the Capital Regional District (CRD) has acquired a 75-acre parcel of land on the northeastern slopes of Mount Maxwell to develop a community park. The acquisition effort involved local Indigenous community members, naturalists, recreational users, and other islanders.

  • Water Conservation Bylaw Changes

    The Capital Regional District (CRD) Board has approved an amendment to the Water Conservation Bylaw No. 4099 for the Regional Water Supply System (Greater Victoria) to regulate the use of water during the summer period. The changes to Bylaw No. 4099 will come into effect May 1, 2024.
