The Capital Regional District (CRD) is the bulk (wholesale) water supplier for Greater Victoria. The Integrated Water Services (IWS) department of the CRD owns and operates the water transmission system for Greater Victoria. In addition, IWS operates the Juan De Fuca water distribution system in the Westshore communities. During the course of operating and maintaining this complex system the services of qualified geotechnical personnel are required.

The CRD requires the services of a registered Professional Engineer with a specialty in Geotechnical Science (soils) to carry out the function of a Professional Engineer as required by WorkSafeBC’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation Part 20 – Construction, Excavation and Demolitions, and any other relevant part of the Regulation.

The scope of work will mainly consist of, but is not limited to: 
-Slope stability assessments
-Materials engineering and testing ( aggregate compaction testing)

The Capital Regional District Integrated Water Services (CRD) invites quotes from qualified bidders for the supply of geotechnical services. Bids should be clearly marked "Quote for the Supply of Geotechnical Services ITQ 2018-373 Attention: Kevin Evans, Purchasing Agent". Quotes will be received at the offices of CRD Integrated Water Services at 479 Island Highway, Victoria, BC until 15:00, local time, Friday, March 02, 2018.

The lowest or any quotation will not necessarily be accepted.
