SOOKE HILLS WILDERNESS PARK – CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING LOT, TRAIL ACCESS, AND BRIDGE
Certificate of Completion for Draycor Construction Ltd.
Take notice that on October 17, 2020 a Certificate of Completion, or court order to that effect, was issued with respect to a contract between Draycor Construction Ltd.(Contractor) and the CRD (Owner) in connection with an improvement on land described as follows:
All labour, material and equipment required to supply and install all of the work outlined in the Capital Regional District's Contract 20.20.01-01, Sooke Hills Wilderness Park – Construction of Parking Lot, Trail Access, and Bridge, for the Site preparation and construction of a gravel parking lot, highway deceleration lane off Sooke Road, and upgrades to a trail to Veitch Creek. In addition, there is a design-build of a bridge spanning Veitch Creek at South East ¼ Section 21, Sooke Road.
All persons entitled to claim a lien under the Builders' Lien Act and who performed work or supplied material in connection with or under the contract are warned that the time to file a claim of lien may be abridged and Section 20 of the Act should be consulted.

CONTRACT 20.20.01-01
INVITATION TO TENDER
Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope "Tender for Sooke Hills Wilderness Park – Construction of Parking Lot, Trail Access, and Bridge, Contract 20.20.01-01" will be received by the General Manager, Parks & Environmental Services of the Capital Regional District at their offices at 625 Fisgard Street, Victoria, British Columbia up to 2:00:00 pm local time on March 25, 2020, at which time they will be opened in public.
The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include the following:
Site preparation and construction of a gravel parking lot, highway deceleration lane off Sooke Road, and upgrades to a trail to Veitch Creek. In addition, there is a design-build of a bridge spanning Veitch Creek.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
A non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at Sooke Hills Wilderness Park, near community mail boxes at 10:00 am, March 10, 2020.
THE AWARD OF THIS TENDER IS SUBJECT TO OBTAINING BUDGET APPROVAL. BUDGET APPROVAL IS ANTICIPATED IN LATE MARCH, 2020, BUT IS NOT GUARANTEED. Failure to obtain budget approval may result in the cancellation of this tender and a corporate decision to not proceed with this work. However, if budget approval occurs after late March, 2020 or another source of funding is located, the preferred proponent on this competition may be invited to contract to do part of the work in 2020 and the remaining work in 2021, covered by this public procurement. This procurement may result in future work awarded without a competition.
