Introduction
The Capital Regional District (“CRD”) invites submissions (each a “Response”) to this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) from experienced water main contractors (each a “Respondent”) interested in constructing the Goldstream AC Water Main Replacement project (the “Project”).
The Project generally involves constructing approximately 1,500m of 400mm diameter restrained Ductile Iron (DI) pipe including meter chambers, fittings, valves and appurtenances to replace two existing AC water mains. Both existing AC water mains will be abandoned, and all service connections including fire hydrants and side street water mains will be connected to the new main. The alignment of the Project runs along Goldstream Avenue from Leigh Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway (VMP), located within the City of Langford.
The CRD has engaged Parsons Inc. (“Parsons”) as the designer for the Project. The final design will be included in the Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”).
