Notice is hereby given that Capital Regional District (the “CRD”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide one (1) Vaughn S4V-155 Submersible Chopper Pump.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, the CRD has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
• the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:

(a) to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems

The Vaughn S4V-155 Submersible Chopper Pump is the current model being used in several of our locations and is required to ensure compatibility with existing systems and spares parts requirements. The noted supplier is the only authorized distributor for Western Canada.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Alex Zayonc by email to azayonc@crd.bc.ca before 2:00pm Pacific Time, February 9, 2022. CRD will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
