Notice is hereby given that Capital Regional District (the “CRD”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide final design and construction phase services for Sooke Lake Dam – Safety Instrumentation for a term of two (2) years at an estimated value of $300,000 CAD.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, CRD has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:

  • the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
  1. to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems

Hatch is completing the preliminary design and their work is proprietary to the final design.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Alexandria Zayonc by email to before 2:00pm Pacific Time, February 22, 2021 CRD will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
