REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

RFEOI No. 60.20.04-07
MAYNE ISLAND REGIONAL TRAIL - LOCAL LABOURERS

The purpose of this Request for Expressions of Interest (“RFEOI”) is to generate a list of interested and qualified local labourers and contractors who wish to participate in the construction of the Mayne Island Regional Trail.  The list generated from this RFEOI will be forwarded without prejudice to potential contractors who might bid on the Tender for the construction of the Mayne Island Regional Trail.  The Tender will be issued in early 2022.

This request relates solely to the Mayne Island Regional Trail construction and participation in this RFEOI will not restrict respondents from participating in other CRD procurements.
Background

The project involves construction of a 2.3 km long, 2.5m wide gravel trail adjacent to Village Bay Road extending from the Village Bay Ferry Terminal to the commercial district at Miner’s Bay.
Scope of Work

The general scope of work entails grubbing, tree removal, traffic management, excavation, fill, and retaining wall construction.  Construction is expected to last for approximately 1 year commencing in the spring of 2022.
