Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope “Tender for Contract Number 2020-625 – JDF System Expansion – Sun River Reservoir" will be received by the Purchaser, Integrated Water Services of the Capital Regional District by email at PurchasingIWS@crd.bc.ca up to 2:00 pm local time on November 2, 2021, at which time they will be opened in private.
The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:
New glass-fused bolted steel water reservoir complete with concrete foundation and a water storage capacity of approximately 1,355 cubic meters or greater. The tank will also need to meet the high-water level and diameter requirements specified in the drawings and specifications. The tank will have interior and underground piping type 316 Sch. 10s stainless steel to 1.0m outside the reservoir footprint, active water mixer, water distribution piping from the reservoir piping to the existing distribution piping, storm drains, manholes, combination air valve and check valve in manholes, site grading, gravel fills and pathways; manual water level gauge and water level transducer and ultrasonic transmitter that are mounted to the tank; instrumentation, controls and wiring. The tank will be installed with a reinforced concrete foundation designed by the tank supplier to meet all current codes and standards. The work also includes connections and integration with the existing RTU and distribution panel in the existing reservoir kiosk. Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, a non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be hosted by the CRD to review the site conditions, laydown areas, crane access, and layout will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday October 14, 2021 at the Sun River Reservoir site. Tenderers will require their own vehicles capable of safely travelling on steep and winding gravel roads. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
Informational meetings will be scheduled to minimize group sizes. The information meeting(s) will be held outside at site. All attending proponents are to wear masks and maintain 2 m spacing while on site. Scheduled times will be provided after proponent requests have been received. All proponents are to formally submit a request to attend an information session as follows:
