Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope “2020-617 – BUTCHART DAM NO.5 FOUNDATION GROUTING" will be received by the Purchaser, Integrated Water Services Department of the Capital Regional District (CRD) at their offices at 479 Island Highway, Victoria, British Columbia up to 3:00 pm local time on December 3, 2020.

The works to be constructed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to; the design and construction of foundation grouting at the right abutment area of Butchart Dam No. 5. This will also include the purchase and installation of geotechnical instrumentation in order for the CRD to monitor to the foundation after the grouting work is completed. The work will include preparation of shop drawings and as constructed drawings.

A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting for the project will be held on November 10, 2020 at  01:00 pm. Tenderers will meet CRD staff at the CRD IWS Field Operations Centre parking lot at 2995 Sooke Lake Road, Victoria. CRD staff will escort the Tenderers to the dam site. Tenderers will require their own vehicles capable of safely travelling on steep and winding gravel roads. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
