NOTICE:         Re:            Charters Creek Trestle Deck Replacement                   

Take notice that on     May 6, 2022    a Certificate of Completion, or court order to that effect, was issued with respect to a Contract between

            Capital Regional District, Victoria, British Columbia                                     
and      Surespan Construction Ltd., Victoria, British Columbia                                

in connection with an improvement on land described as follows:
Charters Creek Trestle, Galloping Goose Regional Trail, Sooke, BC
for the provision of:

All labour, material and equipment required to supply and install all of the work outlined in the Capital Regional District's Contract 20.20.07-02 for deck replacement in accordance with plans and specifications issued for the Charters Creek Trestle Deck Replacement.

All persons entitled to claim a lien under the Builders' Lien Act and who performed work or supplied material in connection with or under the Contract are warned that the time to file a claim of lien may be abridged and section 20 of the Act should be consulted.

CHARTERS CREEK TRESTLE DECK REPLACEMENT

CONTRACT 20.20.07-02

INVITATION TO TENDER

Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope "Tender for GALLOPING GOOSE REGIONAL TRAIL -CHARTERS CREEK TRESTLE DECK REPLACEMENT, CONTRACT 20.20-07-02” will be received by the Contracts Coordinator, Facilities Management and Engineering Services of the Capital Regional District at their offices at 625 Fisgard Street, Victoria, British Columbia up to 2:00 pm local time on September 27, 2021, at which time they will be opened in public.

The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:

The replacement of wooden decking on the Charters Creek Trestle.

Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.

Digital copies may be downloaded for no cost from www.crd.bc.ca/about/contracts-rfps/ after registering as a vendor and at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca without registration. Vendors are encouraged to check BC Bid regularly for updates and not rely on e-mail notifications, as e-mail is inherently unreliable and subject to interruptions.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at Galloping Goose Regional Trail - Sooke River Road Parking Lot at 10:00 am , August 31, 2021.  Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work.  Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
