Core Area Flow Meters – Parsons, ESQ FN, Selkirk, Chapman

CONTRACT 2024-927

INVITATION TO TENDER

Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope "Tender for Core Area Flow Meters – Parsons, ESQ FN, Selkirk, Chapman, CONTRACT 2024-927” will be received by the Purchaser, Integrated Water Services of the Capital Regional District at their offices at 479 Island Highway, Victoria, British Columbia up to 2:00 pm local time on April 16, 2024, at which time they will be opened in private. 

The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:

•  Supply of (4) four kiosk and associated electrical and control equipment; (3) to be installed and (1) to be delivered to the CRD.   
• Supply and installation of (2) two "electromagnetic (mag) meters; 200mmØ and 150mmØ. Work includes excavation to existing sewers, installation of meter chambers, and bypass pumping. 
• Supply and installation of (2) two “clamp-on” flow meters on existing exposed pipe; 450mmØ and 550mmØ.
• Installation of conduit between kiosks and sewer flow meters.
• Installation of a gravel lane about 55m long and 3m wide.
• Fabrication and installation of a small metal enclosure designed to protect an exposed flow meter from being vandalized.

 Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.

Vendors are encouraged to check BC Bid regularly for updates and not rely on e-mail notifications, as e-mail is inherently unreliable and subject to interruptions.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at 10:00am on March 19, 2024 starting at the municipal pump station located at 228 Hart Road in View Royal. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work.  Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
