RESOLVED: Winter weather conditions are affecting curbside recycling pickup

Blue box collection is proceeding again as normal. If your recycling was not picked up Dec. 27-Jan. 7 please hold it until your next collection day.

Curbside recycling has been impacted by winter weather since December 27.

  • Monday, December 27: crews out but many areas not collected due to winter weather and icy road conditions
  • Tuesday, December 28: all routes cancelled 
  • Wednesday, December 29: crews out but many areas not collected due to winter weather and icy road conditions
  • Thursday, December 30: all routes cancelled 
  • Friday, December 31: crews out but many areas not collected due to winter weather and icy road conditions
  • Monday, January 3: crews out but some areas missed due to icy road conditions
  • Tuesday, January 4: crews out but some areas missed due to icy road conditions
  • Wednesday, January 5: crews out but some areas missed due to icy road conditions
  • Thursday, January 6: all routes cancelled 
  • Friday, January 7: crews out but some areas may not be collected due to slippery road conditions
If your recycling is not picked up by 9PM please bring it inside until your next collection day.

There is no limit on how much recycling can be placed at the curb. Recyclables can also be dropped off at a depot free of charge. For a list of participating depots, please visit: www.crd.bc.ca/curbside.
