Croftonbrook is an affordable housing development operated by Islanders Working Against Violence located at 132 Corbett Road on Salt Spring Island. Phase II of the project is complete and fully rented and Phase III is currently under construction with completion expected in July 2022.
The project includes 7 units for individuals who were previously experiencing homelessness with rent set to match the provincial income assistance rate (currently $375/month). This development will offer a mixture of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. The project includes facilities such as laundry, an activities room, storage, common spaces as well as commercial space which will be used by IWAV for their administrative needs and delivery of counselling services. The Regional Housing Trust Fund Contribution is $408,000.
