The Victoria Airport Authority is a not-for-profit authority that manages the safe and secure operations of the Victoria International Airport on behalf of the surrounding communities. The Board is the governing body of the community-operated Victoria International Airport. It is comprised of 13 directors from the Federal, Provincial and local municipal governments as well as the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce.

The Capital Regional District is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving as the CRD Nominee on the Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) Board of Directors.

The VAA Board is seeking diverse candidates with demonstrated knowledge, experience, and expertise at a senior executive level in:

    • Board policy governance and strategic planning;
      • Business management and operation;
        • Corporate finance including an MBA and experience in capital financing for large projects;
          • Professional disciplines in planning and land development; real estate management and knowledge of real estate ownership models; digital technology; senior legal counsel knowledgeable about land/project development; and engineering;
            • Air transportation and Aviation.

                The three-year term will commence January 1, 2025 and expire on December 31, 2027.

                    Interested individuals are invited to submit their applications, which must include a cover letter expressing their interest and qualifications for joining the VAA Board of Directors, and a detailed curriculum vitae, by 4:30 pm on Monday, August 19, 2024 via email to LegServ[at]crd.bc.ca.
