Volunteer Opportunities for Emergency Services

Volunteers are vital to shaping and protecting our communities. Local knowledge and dedication are crucial during an emergency situation.

The Southern Gulf Islands and Juan de Fuca Fire Departments are always seeking interested persons for participation in the volunteer Fire Service. For more information, please contact your local Fire Department.

The Southern Gulf Islands Emergency Program, Juan de Fuca Emergency Program, and the Salt Spring Island Emergency Program are always looking for volunteers to assist with the many facets of emergency response and management including local neighbourhood programs, Emergency Support Services, Emergency Operations Centres, Emergency Radio Communications, and more.
