Local Harbours & Watersheds Information
In the Capital Regional District there are several water features that
make up our watersheds, all which eventually drain into the ocean. The
Portage Inlet, Gorge Waterway, and the Bowker and Colquitz watersheds
are just a few of these waterfeatures.

Regulating Stormwater Discharges
The regulation of discharges to the stormwater conveyance system falls under the jurisdiction of individual municipalities. The Stormwater, Harbours and Watersheds Program works closely with municiapal staff and has developed tools (both regulatory and non-regulatory) to assist municipalities in controlling these discharges.
