Saanich Peninsula Wastewater Committee
The committee administrates a liquid waste collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal service for the Districts of North and Central Saanich, the Town of Sidney, the Airport Authority and the Tsaycum and Pauquachin First Nations. The new Saanich Peninsula Treatment Plant in the District of North Saanich is the central facility of the service. The service is managed by the CRD Environmental Services Department, which supplies operations and engineering expertise.
The committee may establish an Advisory Committee to advise on any matter or any specific matter of the service.
The committee is comprised of eleven members which represent each of the participating municipalities and communities.
