Recycling Directory
Have items you no longer need? Doing some spring cleaning? With our Recycling Directory you can search by item or company to find out where you can recycle your unwanted items.
Curbside (Blue Box) Recyclables Collection
The CRD has been collecting your recyclables since 1989. Each year we divert over 19,000 tonnes of potential garbage from the landfill.

Apartment & Condominium Recycling Program
The CRD provides funding to apartment owners and managers to help pay for private collection services for recyclables. Totes bags have recently been added to this program and are available for apartment residents to store and carry their recyclables.

Hartland Recycling & Bin Area
Hartland collects a wide variety of materials for recycling, such as large plastics, wood waste, cooking oil, hardcover books and appliances. We also accept household hazardous waste, as well as items for reuse. Read more ![]()
Recycling Depots for the Electoral Areas
The Southern Gulf Island recycling depots receive funding from the CRD to accept the items included in the CRD blue box program. In Port Renfrew a drop box for recyclables is provided for residents.
