Salt Spring Island Search and Rescue
Salt Spring Island's Search and Rescue team is an experienced and well-trained ground search and rescue group that operates independently of the CRD. The organization receives training and support from BC's Provincial Emergency Program. SSI Search and Rescue also provides support to other provincial SAR groups when requested.
The Search and Rescue team is composed of approximately thirty volunteer men and women. For more information, or to inquire about volunteer opportunities, contact the search manager.
