There are many ways that individuals can reduce their energy consumption and personal emissions to ensure that we have vibrant, sustainable communities for our future generations. This section provides you with an overview of the GHG reduction commitments that our regional and local governments have made and how you can take action at home, at work and at school.

Action At Home

At least 36% of the energy used in the CRD is consumed in our homes -- accounting for over 23% of greenhouse gas emissions each year. Everyone can benefit and save money by taking steps to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Read more >
