Residents in the impacted area should boil water until further notice
Due to elevated treated water turbidity, the Capital Regional District (CRD) in consultation with Island Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the Lyall Harbour-Boot Cove Water Service on Saturna Island.
Residents in the impacted area should BOIL any water used for drinking, food preparation, ice cubes and dental hygiene until further notice. During the boil water advisory household tap water may be disinfected by boiling vigorously for one minute.
The boil water advisory will be removed when Island Heath is satisfied that the drinking water does not pose a health concern and issues an ‘ALL CLEAR’ notice, at which time impacted customers will be notified.
