Where to Find Public Art

View Royal is the gateway between Victoria's urban core and the Highlands and Westshore municipalities. It is located Northwest of Victoria and directly North of Esquimalt.

There is one large public art piece in View Royal. It is a stone mural along the service road retaining wall on the Island Highway. It is close to the intersection of Admirals Road and Craigflower Road. The Town of View Royal commissioned the piece as part of the Island Highway Improvement project.

Culture and Heritage Integration Policy

The Town of View Royal’s Official Community Plan includes the Culture and Heritage Integration policy to: “Support the integration of heritage and cultural features into the public realm as landmarks and points of interest. Encourage planning and design that responds to local heritage features and includes cultural expressions.”

The Township of View Royal contributes to the CRD Arts & Culture Support Service, which provides funding to arts organizations on behalf of nine municipalities and electoral areas in the capital region.
