Sooke Bike Park
Update: The Bike Park opens Saturday, April 18th! The Hike and Bike Connector Trails and Pump Track are also open for use.
The new bike park and trail creates the opportunity for people to be active and foster a connection with nature. The project was made possible through a $75,000 grant from the CRD through the Active Transportation Innovative Infrastructure Funding Program with SEAPARC, the District of Sooke and the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area as participants. SEAPARC
committed a further $24,000 to the project. When complete, the bike park will include a pump track, a circular hard-dirt surface with hills, and trail access that stretches from the end of Throup Road to SEAPARC.
SEAPARC Trail Improvement
The Juan de Fuca Community Trails Society with SEAPARC and Wittich Environmental Services together installed 44 steps to provide improved pedestrian access to local schools and SEAPARC Leisure Complex. Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked on this project.
Sooke Bike Park Sponsorship Opportunity
SEAPARC, the Sooke Bike Club, parents and youth volunteers, and bike park developers are working together to create a Bike Park for the entire community to ride on and be proud of. Pick up a sponsorship opportunity package at SEAPARC Leisure Complex or click on the link below. There are several ways in which you can be part of this exciting project. Thank you for your support.
