What's New at SEAPARC Leisure Complex

SEAPARC January 20 Update

In compliance with the recent order issued by the PHO, the following service will resume, effective January 20:

  • Weight Room - advanced reservation is required. Physical distancing and capacity limits are in place. 
  • Indoor fitness/dance/yoga classes - Watch for schedule updates with class start dates. Capacity limits in place. 

Proof of vaccination with government issued ID is required for the following:

  • Proof of vaccination for 12+ years is required for pool activities, weight room, adult fitness classes and public skating, with the exception of Youth Only swims and skates
  • All spectators 12 years and older viewing any indoor activities, including the pool and arena, to a maximum of 50% capacity
  • Adults participating in parent & child programs, i.e. skating lessons
  • Indoor adult sport participation (12 years and older) – pickleball, family hockey, etc.
  • Indoor adult sport rentals (12 years and older) – hockey 
  • Indoor organized gatherings (e.g. birthday parties) are cancelled
  • Seated events are limited to 50% capacity

Proof of vaccination is not required for:

  • Youth indoor sport participants (21 years and under)
  • Outdoor sports or gatherings
  • General facility access/use such as washrooms, change rooms, showers, drop off and pick up
  • Out of school care programs
  • Youth programs and lessons (excluding adults in parent & child lessons) - skate and swim lessons, youth drop in skate/swim

Additionally, patrons must wear a mask in common and public areas (including hallways, washrooms and change rooms) when not engaged in physical activity. This mask requirement applies to those 5 years and older, regardless of vaccination status. Protocols continue to be in place to ensure alignment with current orders and our communicable disease safety plan.

Visiting SEAPARC
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, SEAPARC has followed the guidelines and orders set out by the Provincial Health Office and other governing bodies including WorkSafeBC, Island Health, British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), and the Lifesaving Society. 

Please plan ahead and bring proof of vaccination, government-issued photo ID if 19 years and older, a mask, and allow extra time for your visit to accommodate these changes.

Please continue to follow the health guidelines of practicing careful social contact.

Membership Options:

Please contact reception at 250.642.8000 to make changes to your monthly or annual membership:

  • Option 1: Membership continues to be available for pool, weight room and arena admissions, no changes required.
  • Option 2: Membership on hold until the weight room and fitness classes resume to regular capacity, number of missed days will be added to the end of your membership. Payments will still be taken for this option. 
  • Option 3: Cancel and receive a pro-rated refund.


The SEAPARC Hot Tub is currently not in service due to mechanical issues. Staff are currently addressing the matter and will provide an update as soon as possible. We do not have a timeline for re-opening.

SEAPARC Winter/Spring 2022 Active Living Guide

The Winter/Spring Activity Guide is now available. Registration completed online, by phone or in person.

Please note that as we continue to address aquatic staff shortages, capacity limits will remain in place to maintain safe lifeguard to patron ratios. At any time swim session capacity may be reached, and admission/entry stopped.

SEAPARC Strategic Planning Study

Thank you to everyone who participated in the SEAPARC Strategic Planning process. The SEAPARC Strategic Plan 2015 final report is now available. Several key initiatives identified in the process were incorporated to SEAPARC's plans and have now been completed.
