The Capital Regional District (CRD) is constructing a new dock, with approximately 720 feet of lineal moorage space, on the east side of Mayne Island in Horton Bay.  The new dock facilities are scheduled to be installed in the summer of 2022 to provide transient, monthly and annual moorage. There is upland parking available, and a vault toilet.

Looking for long-term moorage?

Those interested in monthly or annual moorage are invited to review the requirements below and submit a completed expression of interest form along with required documents. Submissions will be accepted until space is fully allocated.

Requirements

Applicants must be a resident or property owner on Mayne Island, or on one of the Southern Gulf Islands (Galiano, North and South Pender Islands, Saturna, Piers and nearby islands) within the CRD Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area.

Proof of Residency must be provided at the time of submission in the form of:

  • British Columbia driver’s license containing an address in the Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area;

  • utility bill issued for the supply of electricity, natural gas, water, telephone services or co-axle cable services to an address in the Southern Gulf Islands Electoral Area.

    Submission does not guarantee moorage.  If demand exceeds capacity of the dock, allocation of space will be optimized and may need to be determined by lottery.

    2. Compile required documents.
    3. Scan and email the form and documents to the email address listed on the form.
