Brenda Eaton is a corporate director serving on the Boards of FortisBC, Transelec, TransLink, and the BC Safety Authority. She also serves on the Boards of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research and the Max Bell Foundation. In addition, she is a faculty member of the Alberta-based Public Policy Training Institute and of the United Way of the Lower Mainland sponsored Public Policy Institute. Prior to becoming a corporate director, she had a career in the public sector, as Deputy Minister of Finance; Social Services; and Energy. She was also Vice President and CFO for the Capital Health Region (now Island Health). Her expertise is in finance, energy, governance and public policy. She has a Masters Degree in Economics and has received such awards as the Queens Jubilee Medal, Distinguished Alumni, Consumers Choice and 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada.
