Description
The Capital Regional District (CRD) Salt Spring Island Parks and Recreation Commission (PARC) has received a total of additional $1,046,725 in funding from the Province of BC to support the creation of child and infant care spaces on Salt Spring Island.
Funding from the Province will support the construction of a purpose-built classroom to house a recreation based preschool program at the Rainbow Road Aquatic Centre and to expand the Aquatic Centre to include a permanent 1,500 square foot multipurpose room. The new space will be available for a new or existing non-profit child care provider to occupy during the weekdays and open to community groups and recreation programs in the evenings and weekends.
The Community Child Care Space Creation Program is funded by the Province of BC under the Canada-British Columbia Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.
