Lubbe Lake forms part of the back-up water supply for the CRD and is one of three lakes within the Goldstream River watershed. Originally constructed between 1895 and 1903, Lubbe Dam No.4 requires replacement following years of seepage monitoring and several studies. A preliminary design to replace the dam was completed in 2014. The final design, including material production, is planned for 2016. The removal of the existing dam and construction of the new dam at the same location is scheduled for 2017.
