Local parks on or near Portage Inlet include Cuthbert Holmes Park and Colquitz Park along the lower Colquitz River, Portage Inlet Linear Park, Helmcken Centennial Park, Seabird Park, View Royal Park and several other smaller parks. These protected areas along with natural shores such as the rocky shoreline on Christie Point provide valuable habitat for wildlife, birds and plants and opportunities for people to enjoy the natural beauty of Portage Inlet.
