Victoria, BC– Get away to one of the Capital Regional District’s three regional park campgrounds this summer! Island View Beach, Jordan River and Sooke Potholes Regional Parks campgrounds will soon be open. Each offers affordable, self-contained RV and tent camping in nature with fabulous water views.
The Spring Salmon Place Campground (KWL-UCHUN) at Sooke Potholes Regional Park will be operated by T’Sou-ke Nation. The 67-site RV and tent campground on the Sooke River, and adjacent to the Galloping Goose Regional Trail, offers hiking, swimming, fishing and cycling. It is open from May 13 to October 3, 2016.
Island View Beach Regional Park Campground on the Saanich Peninsula, with its long sandy beach and panoramic views, is close to ferries, the airport, downtown Victoria, and the Lochside Regional Trail. The 23-site RV and tent campground is open from May 20 to September 5, 2016.
Jordan River Regional Park Campground, along the Strait of Juan de Fuca, offers views of the Olympic Peninsula and hiking trails through hemlock & cedar forests to Sandcut Beach. The 22-site RV and tent campground is open year round.
