Victoria, BC – The Capital Regional District (CRD) is asking for the public’s feedback on the Draft Management Plan for Island View Beach Regional Park. The CRD is updating the management plan for Island View Beach Regional Park to set a future direction for the park.
“We want to hear from the public about the draft management plan. The feedback we receive will be considered as staff develop a final park management plan,” said Mike Walton, CRD Regional Parks Senior Manager. “The draft park management plan is based on extensive public dialogue, meetings and feedback. It sets out proposed strategies and actions to address the key issues that were identified during the public participation process.
The feedback process on the draft plan includes town hall meetings, individual meetings with stakeholders and the Tsawout First Nation, and an online response form. CRD Staff will also be at the park this summer to answer questions about the draft plan. The response form is available online until July 10, 2016. All comments received through this public participation process will be considered before a final management plan is provided to the Parks Committee and CRD Board for approval in fall 2016.
