Victoria, BC– Mountain Equipment Co-operative (MEC), in partnership with the Capital Regional District (CRD), is hosting two upcoming Victoria races this September and October 2014. The CRD and MEC Victoria have partnered together to promote public parks and to inspire and enable Canadians to lead active, outdoor lifestyles through the MEC Victoria Race Series.
The race series strives to offer professionally managed and accessibly priced events year round. Multiple race formats are offered throughout the series, including 5km, 10km, 15k, and half marathon, for the growing number of runners on every level.

MEC running races are part of a comprehensive running program that includes meet-ups, clinics and specialized seminars for all running enthusiasts. In-store clinics and sessions help members develop and hone their running skills with expert advice and techniques, while meet ups are a great way to connect with other runners in a fun and welcoming environment. MEC also carries a wide range of trail, road and natural running gear, including the latest running apparel, shoes, training computers and quality accessories.
