Go Green at Home This Fall

Oct 15, 2013

Victoria, BC - Today the Capital Regional District launched a new education campaign in support of “Green 365”, a multi-themed campaign promoting year-round sustainable living both inside and outside the home.

“Green 365 Indoor Living” will run from October 15 until December 31 promoting green behaviours that apply to indoor home improvements including water conservation, septic system maintenance, energy saving techniques and the proper handling of waste. Green 365 will explore all aspects of environmental sustainability around the home.

From the kitchen to the living room, Green 365 Indoor Living will offer residents tips to help make their homes more environmentally friendly. Search #Green365 on Twitter or visit here for weekly tips and make the pledge to go greener indoors.

“We wanted to provide residents with a tool that will help them go green inside the home”, said Nils Jensen, Chair, Environmental Services Committee. “Green 365 and the 2014 wall calendar will be an excellent resource to help contribute to environmental stewardship in our region.”

Proudly supported by the Times Colonist, Kool FM and Cfax 1070.
