Pender Islands Opens Expanded Community Health Centre

Victoria, BC- The Pender Islands community, along with members of the Capital Regional Hospital District (CRHD), will celebrate the opening of the new Pender Islands Bishop Coleman Memorial Health Centre on Friday, October 3, 2008. The Health Centre expansion will provide vital space for medical care and community programs.

The $1.3 million health centre project was funded by generous donations from the Pender Islands community ($600,000) and grants from the CRHD ($597,396). The expanded centre will feature a new medical wing, an emergency treatment centre, enlarged waiting and reception area and new offices for health care practitioners.
