Victoria, BC –- Mill Hill Regional Park will be temporarily closed on Thursday, September 25 for public safety. Crews will be transferring large bundles of Scotch Broom to trucks in the visitor parking lot by helicopter.
The Capital Regional District is in its seventh year of a project to restore the Garry Oak Ecosystems at Mill Hill Regional Park. The project involves removing Scotch Broom, an invasive species, from the park, in order to restore native ecosystems and resident populations of rare and endangered plants. This science based and award winning restoration project has garnered national recognition.
