The Electoral Areas Committee oversees and makes recommendations to the Board regarding services in the Electoral Areas, including local economic development.

First Nations Relations

Recreation

We envision residents having access to appropriate and affordable recreation opportunities.

The Peninsula Recreation Commission, Sooke and Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission, and Salt Spring Island Parks and Recreation Commission provide advice and direction for sub-regional recreational facilities and services. Galiano, Pender, Saturna and Mayne Islands and the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area each have a Parks and Recreation Commission responsible for coordinating local recreational programs.

The Regional Water Supply Commission provides direction on items related to drinking water supply for Greater Victoria. Local Service Area Commissions, through the Electoral Areas Committee, provides recommendations and advice to the Board on items related to local water systems.
