Event Information
In support of Fix a Leak Week, the CRD invites residents to join this free workshop to learn ways to keep your irrigation system functional through minor maintenance to save both time and money.
This 3 hour free introductory workshop on irrigation maintenance will cover:
- How to review your irrigation system to identify problems and concerns.
- Reduce your water consumption by identifying leaks, breaks, and common over-watering practices. Can you identify the problem? What is involved in the repairs?
- When to call a contractor to address problems with your system and what to ask of your contractor.
This workshop is intended for existing systems but can be useful if you are planning a new system, as initial installation practices can have long term effects on maintenance and water costs. Course instructor is a local member of the Irrigation Industry Association of BC. An overview of CRD Water Conservation programs will be provided.
This workshop is for residential homeowners in the Capital Region.
*Pre-registration is required. Please call 250.474.9684 to reserve your space.
Drop-ins can not be accommodated.
All participants will receive a free Leak Detection kit, which includes a hose connection vacuum breaker (backflow preventer).
