The CRD is re-issuing a Call for Proposals for Aboriginal Homelessness funding, inviting proposals from applicant organizations based in the Victoria Census Metropolitan Region engaged in providing services to homeless Aboriginal individuals and families. The Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS) was announced as a result of the Federal Government's Economic Action Plan to provide funding in 2014-19 to support a Housing First model towards reducing homelessness. Key to this model is the ability to rapidly move chronically and episodically homeless individuals and families from the street or shelter into stable, long-term housing, with supports. The CRD is implementing the approved HPS Community Plan and priorities for the allocation of funding within the Victoria Census Metropolitan Region.
The Federal Government has increased their contribution to the HPS Aboriginal Homelessness funding stream in 2018/19, in addition to their current contribution. Please download and read the attached documents carefully for further information.
This Call for Proposals is for a period from April 1, 2018 – March 31, 2019. HPS has developed a list of standardized priorities and eligible activities for the allocation of funding within the Aboriginal Homelessness Funding Stream.
Applications must be submitted in both electronic and hard copy formats. Please note that if applicants are unable to place an electronic signature on the fillable application form, please sign the paper form and a signature on paper will be accepted.
NOTE: This CFP is pending confirmation of funding from the Federal Government.
