How do I know if the CRD received my application?

When you submit your application through our online system you will receive an email response confirming that your application was received.

What can I expect if my application is selected for further consideration?

Applicants moving forward in the recruitment and selection process will be assessed for their knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies for the job. These assessments may take various forms, such as: written assignments, presentations, interviews, etc. depending on the competencies required of the role. Additionally, reference checks will be performed.

What do “Current CRD Employees Only” and “Jobs Open to the Public” mean?

Postings under the heading of "Current CRD Employees Only" means that applications received by current CRD employees will be reviewed. If you are not a current CRD employee, your application will not be considered.

If a position is not filled through the above process, we open up the opportunity to members of the public and the posting would be moved under the "Jobs Open to the Public" heading.

I am not a current CRD employee. Can I apply to a “Current CRD Employees Only” competition?

No. Non-CRD employees cannot apply for “Current CRD Employees Only” competitions. Applications from non-CRD employees will not be retained.

I think I am a current CRD employee although I have not worked for a few months. How do I find out if I am still a current CRD employee?

If you are not sure if you meet this criteria, please contact the Human Resources and Organizational Development office at 250.360.3069. They will be able to confirm if you are currently a CRD employee.

What are “Auxiliary” Job Opportunities?

Auxiliary positions are also sometimes referred to as casual, temporary or term positions. Auxiliary positions can be full-time, part-time or “as and when required.” The posting will typically indict the length of assignment and anticipated hours of work.

I am unable to submit my application online. What do I do?
